Abstract

Chakraborty et al. present the draft genome of turmeric and transcriptome of leaf tissue. Phylogenetic and comparative evolutionary analyses show evolution in genes associated with secondary metabolism, plant phytohormones signaling, and various biotic and abiotic stress tolerance responses.
