Research of the Load Distribution of Planetary Roller Screw Mechanism under Different Working Temperatures
Abstract
Considering the influence of different nut installation modes, the finite element model of calculating the load distribution under the different working temperatures of the planetary roller screw mechanism( PRSM) is established. The model is verified by comparing with the theoretical model under the working load. The effects of installation modes, load conditions and working temperature on the load distribution are analyzed systematically. Under different working temperatures, the numerical results show that the influence of installation modes on the screw side is bigger than the nut side. The temperature is one of the main reasons affecting the load distribution of PRSM and has a greater effect on the load distribution of screw side rather than the nut side. When the screw is in the state of tension or compression, the load distribution is becoming worse or better. In consideration of the reaction of the temperature with the load distribution, the screw and nut are all in compression is the best one in all installation modes.
