The article deals with derivation phenomena, receiving a graphic design with the help of a hyphen. Among such composite words binomials – a fusion of composited and complex words, and the holophrasis – the stand out in the contraction of phrases and sentences into some semblance of words. Examples of those and others are today in everyday speech. These constructs implement the potency of a word-formation language system that has already been used in poetic speech. The authors show that word-fusion has migrated into the discourse of the Internet, where it successfully performs several functions: visualizing complex ideas, nominating and evaluating objects, phenomena, situations, events, and concepts; and defining complexes, ultimately indicating certain concepts will eventually merge into a single word because the words in the text have become in some sense conditional.
