Digitization in light of the Covid-19- pandemic as an effective alternative to developing banking services Case Study of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Bordj Bou Arreridj Agency)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze digital economy phenomenon to highlight its features in Algerian banking industry, because digital technology, that means remote treats, became a necessity to keep up with world development, especially with covid-19 pandemic appearing. That gets many Algerian trading banks, like agricultural and rural development bank, to develop new electronic services in alignment with the situation. The study concluded several results, perhaps the most notable is that: covis-19 pandemic has given boost to digital treats and helped in development of new e-payment solutions appreciated by bank customers. This experience crowned by success although the absence of digital economy culture in our country.
