Pesticides have a major impact on the health of populations. Some examples of the consequences of their indiscriminate use: environmental and human contamination, hearing problems, the development of mental disorders, neurodegeneratives diseases, respiratory complications among others. From this perspective, this article aims to report the experience of the process of building an educational health resource for the health of rural workers. As an educational resource in health the book was elected. It was titled Health inthe Field -1st edition: Use of pesticidesand was divided into five chapters. Subsequent to the process of building this resource, a Health Educational Resources Show was held in which guest teachers with expertise in health education resources and othereducational technologies, undergraduate and graduate students participated. The process of conception, planning and execution of educational material requires the development and/or improvement of multiple competencies, skills and attitudes that are paramount in health education, such as the use of information and communication technologies in their various forms, the look at the social determinants in health, the recognition as a political actor and its intersection with the university education in health.
