Enucleation of thyroid lipoma

Background: Abnormal thyroid swellings are rare in children. Herein, one more case of thyroid adenolipoma appended to the knowledge. Case reports: A four-year-old child complained of thyroid swelling with tracheal compression manifestation. Enucleation of the swelling did by an experienced pediatric surgeon without any thyroid tissue excision. The post-operative sample demonstrated thyrolipoma. Results: If the operator certainly from the diagnosis of thyrolipoma, it is besteaded to enucleate it instead of thyroidectomy. The patient had the benefit of both good cosmetic outcomes and avoids Eltroxin replacement therapy. Conclusion: Lipoma enucleation from the thyroid tissue is an easy operation. Radiological images are a good diagnostic tool.
