Urban heritage in shop windows

Abstract

Drawing their inspiration from the urban environment, window displays offer many examples of architecture and cities being used as images, recreated as models, or else reproducing the form of buildings using the products themselves. The use of urban landscapes and monuments for commercial purposes highlights the importance of architecture and urban areas in a popular heritage that could be considered as an architectural museum in itself.
