Semantic differential: theory and practical applications in linguistic and psychological research

Abstract

The paper analyzes the theoretical foundations of the Semantic Differential in linguistics, social psychology and related sciences. There were discussed the procedure and the main modifications of the method. The results of empirical studies of ethnic stereotypes made with the use of Semantic Differential were presented.
