Improvement in ventilation-perfusion mismatch after percutaneous recanalization of near-atretic pulmonary artery due to non-small cell lung cancer
Abstract
We present the case of a patient with symptomatic ventilation-perfusion mismatch due to mixed pulmonary arterial and venous obstruction after partial right lung resection for non-small cell lung cancer. Non-invasive imaging suggested complete occlusion of the right lower lobe pulmonary artery, but we were able to successfully percutaneously recanalize the vessel and improve his symptoms and quality of life.
