Carbon Emission, air and water pollution in coastal China: Financial and trade effects with application of CRS-SBM-DEA model
Abstract
Through the application of CRS-SBM-DEA and Durbin model, the results show that the development of financial and trade in China coastal area has a positive impact on environmental pollution control, the environmental quality and the efficiency of resource use. From the micro level, the improvement of GDP leads to the improvement of per capita income, emission efficiency and pollution governance. From the macro level, the overall increase of GDP also has a releasing effect on air pollution. According to the Moran index test, it shows that there is an interaction between PM2.5 and SO2, and regional industrial development has an agglomeration effect on it.
