Abstract

Los Remedios, 2021 MAX prize winner for Best New Author, embarks on a journey through personal memories, making use of autofiction in a comic key, not without moments of profound sensitivity. This article analyses the sociological foundations justifying such necessity for self-knowledge—widely extended in contemporary playwriting—as well as the philosophical and literary references of which the author makes use. Likewise, it determines the structures forming his identity genesis, such as family, neighbourhood or school, and how he establishes the art of theatre, together with friendship, as his anchorage to the complex world around him.
