A practical framework for national park management and protection in China: A case study of NanShan National Park

After Nanshan National Park System Pilot Area was approved by China central government and established in 2016, it has explore the construction mode of national in line with the ecological protection and development of Nanshan National Park. This paper has analyzed and summarized the progress of Nanshan National Park System Pilot Area from various aspects. Nanshan National Park System Pilot Area has innovated management system, improved operation mechanism, strengthened ecological protection and restoration, established fund guarantee mechanism, enhanced social participation, and ameliorated public opinion guidance. After four years of active efforts, Nashan National Park System Pilot Area has made certain achievements in the system and mechanism of collective forest flow, ecological benefit compensation and other aspects, which provides replicable, popularized and referential experience and practices for the establishment of national parks in southern collective forest areas. It can be concluded that Nashan National Park System Pilot Area has achieved phased results.
