the aim of the article is to analyze the expansion of higher school in the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education. It is a documentary research with quantitative and qualitative approach based on historical-dialectical materialism. The results indicate that the Network got expressive evolution of the number of campuses with marked expansion in courses and enrollment in the of higher education. The enrollment growth was 348,6%: inside the states got the raise of 820,1%, while in capitals the growth was 100,4%. It is concluded that the Network has significant contribution to the expansion of public higher education in Brazil mainly in offering of technology higher courses and graduation, as well as in the interiorization process of undergraduate degree.
