Note on influences of inclined fog lakes on the air pollution in them and on the irradiance above them
Abstract
In wintertime in a complex topography fog lakes are often formed, are usually horizontal, and can persist for several days. In connection with general weather conditions the upper boundary of fog lakes can be inclined. With inclination of fog lake upper boundary the volume of the atmosphere in fog lakes can be changed considerably, and within it, air pollution concentrations. At the same time also the irradiance at the places on steep slopes above fog lakes can be changed. Simple approach to present main reasons and consequences of changed inclination can be estimated by the presented equations. Similar approach can be used also for cloud layers under subsidence inversions.
