Generalization of foreign personnel assessment methods

Introduction. In modern conditions, personnel performance assessment is an important process for any organization, regardless of its size and area of activity. Each employee contributes to the overall performance of the company, and his effectiveness directly affects the final result of the business. Assessing staff performance is an important and necessary tool that allows you to determine not only the level of staff performance and the possibility of increasing their productivity, but also to increase the level of motivation and satisfaction of employees. In the process of assessing staff performance, various approaches can be used. It may include aspects such as assessing the quality of work performed, timely completion of duties, the level of professionalism and knowledge of employees, as well as compliance with the corporate culture and values of the organization. Each employer, taking into account the specifics of its activities, its resources and management style, develops its own methods for assessing employee performance, which are aimed at increasing the efficiency of staffing. Materials and methods. This article examines foreign methods of personnel assessment as a state tool for regulating personnel assessment. The methods used in Asian countries, the European Union and the USA are analyzed. The historical aspect of their foundation and development trends is considered. The advantages and disadvantages of using each method are given. Modern literature contains many works devoted to the study of assessing the performance of personnel in an organization. Scientists such as E. N. Sochneva, D. V. Zyablikov, M. F. Mizintseva, A. R. Sardaryan, R. A. Tolmachev, V. M. Maslova are involved in the study of this topic. Results and conclusions. Based on the analysis carried out by the author, we can conclude that the assessment of personnel performance is a process that is carried out on the basis of a set of measures to determine the quality of work results and the competence of the organization’s employees. Among the considered methods of personnel assessment, both their advantages and disadvantages can be identified. In many methods, the disadvantages include significant resource costs and subjectivity of assessment. But personnel assessment also helps to determine the strengths and weaknesses of those being assessed, which further contributes to the development of the companies' potential in the market due to the high quality of the services provided.
