Afrofem: uma experiência de Pedagogia Dialógica e feminismos afrodiaspóricos no Sertão do Nordeste

The themes of gender and race/ethnicity are of paramount importance for the realization of a fair collectivity in contemporary times. Faced with the demands presented in a federal educational institution in the northeastern of Brazil, we deve-loped an extension project with interdisciplinary conversation circles that addressed the oppressi-ve, racist and sexist matrices of Brazilian society. The debates covered intersectional inequalities, race and racism in Brazil, empowerment, body and gender and representation. Guided by Freire’s dialogical pedagogy and by the interculturality de-fended by decolonial pedagogy, we aim to dissemi-nate works of afro-diasporic feminisms aiming at the problematization of the school reality and the northeastern sertão, to contribute to the construc-tion of an anti-racist and anti-cisheteropatriarchal culture
