Violência Sexual Contra a Criança: Estratégias de Enfrentamento Adotadas pelas Mães

Abstract

The objective of this study had been to analyze the strategies of confrontation adopted by these mothers to deal with the violence situation. Method: eight mothers of girls sexually victimized were subjected to semi-structured Interview. From analysis of the contents were obtained by categories of analysis. Results: This mothers adopted strategies of coping concern, mainly, to the professional assistance of the child and to the denunciation of the crime, to promote the health of the child and their protection through the removal of the aggressor. When they search aid for themselves, these women had divided between the aid spiritual and the professional aid.
