The (Un)employment under two keynesian perspectives
Abstract
The following article wishes to explore the clear incompatibility existing among new-keynesian and post-keynesian conceptions of unemployment. These two different theoretical formulations will be exposed in an organized way and followed by the analysis of their own prescriptions of public policies concerning unemployment. At the end, both theoretical frameworks will be put together in order to show that as they represent extremely different perceptions of the economic functioning they have nothing in common except their denomination.
