Tertiary refugee education in Afghanistan: vital for reconstruction

Abstract

Since 1992, UNHCR has been implementing the AlbertEinstein German Academic Refugee Initiative (DAFI), aGerman government-funded programme to provide tertiaryeducation for refugees in countries of asylum. Afghans havecomprised the largest group of DAFI students.
