CHINA-RUSSIA: OPPORTUNITIES OF COOPERATION AND GLOBAL SECURITY

Abstract

The article examines the factors influencing the development of modern Russian-Chinese relations in the context of regional and global security. The author analyzes the specifics of the current development of the Asia-Pacific region countries, among which China holds the leading position. The reasons for the need for cooperation between Asian countries (primarily China) and Russia, in particular, within the framework of interstate cooperation in the format of SCO are given. Besides the prospects of the Russian-Chinese strategic partnership are outlined.
