Purpose. The article is devoted to the study of psychological conditions of efficiency of external motivation of professional activity. The objectives of the study are: the study of labor motives and their determining factors and the description of the psychological characteristics that are the conditions for the effectiveness of motivational influences. Methodology of the work. The study analyzed the literature and used empirical methods. Research method – testing of subjects. The results obtained after the test were subjected to statistical analysis using the R program. Results. The connections between internal and external motivation and psychological factors have been revealed. The conclusions about the influence of psychological factors on the effectiveness of external motivation of professional activity. Psychological conditions of efficiency of external motivation have been defined and recommendations for heads of the companies have been offered. Scope of application. The results can be used by managers of companies in the process of personnel management.
