The article solves the research problem of considering the theory of intergroup adaptation (IGA) in organizations as a platform for managing a policultural organization. More than 120 scientific sources on the problem have been analyzed: 3 doctoral and 17 candidate dissertations, more than 100 articles devoted to the IGA in political organizations, economic organizations, humanitarian education, social and medical spheres, military and law enforcement structures. On the basis of large empirical material, the possibilities of the regularities, mechanisms, and features of the IGA, substantiated in the concept and tested in practice, are proved. The IGA model in organizations is congruently supplemented with such concepts as: landscape, matrix of landscape, organization as an average group, knowledge platform. The presented empirical and theoretical materials can fulfill the role of sailing directions in the rough sea of problems connected with the modern Russian multicultural organization. They are able to optimize its management. For researchers the results obtained become a benchmark for the empirical study of various aspects of the IGA in the organization.
