The paper aims to describe the history of the British joint-stock company Bohemian Breweries Limited, which owned three breweries in Prague in the turbulent period of the late 19th century. The second part of the three-part paper analyzes the potential and the risks of the local Bohemian market and introduces the company's director Alexander Wentworth Forbes, who also became the first British consul in Prague.(In Czech, English summary only)
