Digital Control of Boost PFC Converter Working in Discontinuous Conduction Mode
Abstract
This paper describes a complete design of a digital controller using the tools of the Matlab program, for a boost PFC converter working in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). The converter works at a 100 kHz switching frequency and the AC line input voltage is about 230 Vrms. We have used two methods for the controller design: "digital redesign" and "direct digital design". The simulation resulted from the design are also described.
