Purpose. The purpose is to study representations of orphaned children about their psychological well-being and its characteristics. Methodology and Approach. The author analyzes the empirical material collected with the use of the survey method in the form of open questions and unfinished sentences. Results. It is determined that the psychological well-being of orphaned children is determined by the characteristics of motivational-need and emotional states (their internal manifestations), while the psychological well-being of others is predominant by the demonstrated external manifestations of states. Psychological well-being in the representations of adolescents is associated with situations of satisfaction of needs (physiological and social) and is determined by activity - its procedural and effective characteristics or lack of activity. Theoretical and Practical Implications. The results of the study contribute to the understanding of the phenomenon of psychological well-being and complement the psychological portrait of children left without parental care.
